~ Loving the Child of the Moment ~

Loving our children is about loving the child of the moment. We often become too restricted in our quest to create the potential child of the future that we fail to love the child of the moment.

This is so very true!!

It also applies as our children grow and change. I have in the past been guilty of grieving for my "lost child" instead of enjoying and appreciating my changing adolescent. No stage was meant to last forever. We need to love them wherever they are at each stage, warts and all.
