~ A Woman of Grace ~

I strive to be many things.

A "woman of grace" is one of them.

In the daily grind of motherhood and keeper of home it's easy to get jaded and negative.
We can get a big ole chip on our shoulder and feel annoyed and irritated with others easily when we are tired and not consistently renewing our mind.

Ephesians 4:29~ Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

I loved these words by Patricia Hickman:

"We love to be around those people who have disciplined their mouths to lift us, the hearers, out of our unawareness. They are the lights on a summer night for which we run around with our jars hoping to capture a glimmer of their wisdom. We walk away from them changed, wiser. With a few well-placed words they have shone a light into a place we didn't know was dark. They make us want to be better humans. We covet their radiance and pray it will rise inside of us- and then spread like mad!"

I have only met a couple of women that make me feel like that. They have been instrumental in helping to shape my spiritual life.
I will be forever grateful for their example.

As we live out our daily calling let us strive to be women of grace. Because only then can we show others around us of the pure joy that living in the will of our Heavenly Father can bring.
Love,
